I have used the old cavity backed MacGregor ” clubs for some years now and have always found them to be reliable. Just bought one off ebay.

Posted 19 February – Joe, This driver is a very long, solid driver. The guy next to me was hitting the NVG2 the other day, not sure if it was the “tour” or not. The resulting sound is muted and a bit hollow, not unlike the Callaway FT However, this club is every bit as long, if not longer than the FTI, probably about yards longer. Give it a try, you will never look at Taylormade or Ping again.

With only 7 swings I figured I would try to find one with scars on ebay for cheap The feel at impact is excellent although the sound is a bit tin-can-like. Mine is very compact with a faster tempo. Great Irons – good distance even on off centre strikes. This weight is meant to help square the clubhead at impact and give the driver a neutral bias to a slight draw bias, depending on the loft.
The ball flight is very penetrating, no ballooning with this driver. The hosel of the club sits a small distance back from the face of the driver, which helps keep the ball from going left. The 8-degree model is 1.

They have great feel with an outstanding dispersion pattern. I hit the 8. Several functions may not work. I macgrregor many but these came out best – the heads were slightly heavier than some but I found that it suited my game. Weebo, the driver I cut down to 3 wood length was a regular flex, but with the club being two inches shorter I would say it now performs like a senior shaft.
It sounded very nice, a very springy ‘POP’ sound, and not metallic at all. Tried these irons on a simulator – they improved my 7 iron length by 25 yards and also showed themselves to be very forgiving due to the “cup-face” technology in the head design.
I simply needed the 9 degree because I hit the ball high and the non-tours don’t have that loft.
