This disclaimer is brought to you thanks to the BSA. I don’t have the source code for the drivers, and it would take months to reverse engineer.

I installed this driver in Vista SP1 32 bit. Well, I knew that Vista supported using XP sound drivers.

This may be because these drivers were BETA drivers for Windows XP made by some of the developers from Aureal, and I would like to switch over to using the earlier official version of the drivers that Microsoft bundled with XP as it should be more reliable. I’ve also added a note that these drivers are bit only. Which file in that archive needs to be run to install the driver software? I was testing win7 sa2500 the weekend for the second time now and was pissed again sq2500 the latest build did not recognize my and had to change back to integrated audio chipset which sounds a lot lamer and a lot noisier.
THE url you gave doesn’t work anu more: Vista is out of the question unfortunately, as it eats a lot of resources. Somehow I found your page, and I have a Vortex 2 card, so I snagged the file, but I don’t know what file I should run under Vista to install these drivers.
One would think that Vista support of this ancient audio chipset would be a pipe dream, no? Ua8830 is a website somewhere on the net, which attempted to modify Aurel drivers for XP to work with hardware acceleration. I do have an Aureal Vortex 1 AU So, I hop into the BIOS and disable onboard sound and then I pulled the Vortex 2 out of my closet, popped it in there and XP recognized it and used the built in drivers and I had full-on Vortex 2 goodness.

The card should work allongside with an Audigy That way it might be really easy to find it via search engines. I seemed to argue a lot in using Votrex 2 cards, to speak the truth, I just love it, but I only want to show the opinion of using it with modern OS and machine.
And I’ve been loving without sound ever since, at least on the Vista side.
I so remember when Turtle Beach was the shiznit. That’s why some newer games can’t get A3D support. I’ve been 51.2 some strange issues that appear to be related to this driver. So, I found the last know drivers for XP — the 5.

I have recently installed Windows 7 Beta. There is no material that is xq2500 illegal here. The Windows driver verifier reported that this driver is attempting to free memory it has already released, which is causing problems for the kernel memory allocator. I’m glad I have sound, even if I can’t seem to find a way to make the Equalizer work.
