In reply to Sharief K’s post on August 5, With some research i found many said to put tape over the 51 Pin on the card. I’m reasonably tech savvy and have always been able to work these things out in the past but this has me stumped.

That being the case, it’s easy to see how nnoah90 would think Bluetooth existed on his laptop. I tried swapping back to the Atheros and when it was back in, BT was working fine again. If you only ask about the G75VW notebook, it could refer to any of those different configurations and bluetotoh may not get exactly what you were looking for.
If it doesn’t exist on your laptop, it cannot be enabled by installing drivers or other software. Hello, I’ve had the same problem with the bluetooth software. After googling a bit, purchased the Intel card to replace the Atheros.

Results 1 to 9 of 9. I have played around with recent and past drivers from the Asus download drivers section but i’m having no love. I looked in device manager and I see the atheros bluetooth bus under system devices. Problem was that I probably had some remains of other and older drivers still roaming freely on the machine; tested with a new installation on another disk and everything was working fine then.
All the files are upto date it says so I do not know where the problem is. So not quite sure that’s exactly as it should either I”m having a hell of a time with my Bluetooth on my G I’ve had some issues with BT and earlier drivers. Sign In Sign Up. I actually got the BT to work – in my case it was showing up bluetooth fine in the device manager, and drivers installed ok. Not all G75VWs are configured the same as you have discovered, and in the U. vluetooth
Under my windows 8 pc wireless settings there is a toggle for bluetooth but it’s greyed out. Can someone please give me a hand.
